Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book with, get pierced at or buy from Hoax Piercing Studio ("we", "us"). By making a booking or receiving a service, you agree to them. Please read them before your appointment.

1. Bookings

• You can book online or on WhatsApp. Online bookings must be made at least one day before the appointment. Same-day appointments are by WhatsApp only, if a slot is free.
• An online booking is a request until we confirm it. We confirm your exact time on WhatsApp, usually within 24 hours.
• Please give a correct name and phone number so we can reach you. We may cancel bookings we can't confirm.
• Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten, move or cancel your appointment.

2. Rescheduling and cancellations

• To reschedule or cancel, message us on WhatsApp at least 24 hours before your slot.
• If you miss an appointment without telling us, we may ask for a deposit before accepting future bookings.
• We may need to reschedule if a piercer is unwell or something outside our control happens. We'll tell you as early as we can and offer another slot.

3. Prices and payment

• Prices on our website are starting prices. The total shown when you book is an estimate. Your final price depends on the jewellery you choose and is confirmed at the studio before we start.
• Payment is due in full when the service is done. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
• Promotions can't be combined unless stated, and may end without notice.

4. Age and ID

• You must be 18 or older to be pierced on your own. Please bring a valid IC or passport.
• Clients under 18 must come with a parent or legal guardian, who must show ID and sign the consent form.
• Some piercings are for adults only, whatever consent is given.

5. Your health and safety

• Please tell us about any allergies, medical conditions, medication or pregnancy before your piercing. This information is kept private.
• Don't come in under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and please eat beforehand.
• We may decline or postpone a piercing if we think it isn't safe, your anatomy isn't suitable, or you are unwell. If we decline before starting, you won't be charged for the service.
• We use sterile, single-use needles and implant-grade jewellery for every piercing.

6. Aftercare and healing

• We'll give you aftercare instructions. How well a piercing heals depends a lot on following them.
• Healing times vary from person to person. Swelling, tenderness and minor irritation are normal while healing.
• If something looks or feels wrong, contact us straight away. If you have signs of infection, such as spreading redness, heat, fever or pus, see a doctor.
• We are not responsible for problems caused by not following aftercare, changing jewellery too early, or injury to the piercing.

7. Jewellery

• For hygiene reasons, jewellery that has been worn or used in a piercing can't be returned or exchanged.
• Unopened jewellery in its original packaging can be exchanged within 7 days with your receipt.
• If jewellery is faulty, tell us within 7 days of purchase and we'll repair or replace it. This doesn't affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.
• For safety, we may decline to insert jewellery that wasn't bought from us if we can't confirm what it is made of.

8. Studio conduct

Please be respectful to our team and other clients. We may refuse service to anyone who is abusive or disruptive. For space and hygiene reasons, please bring no more than one companion unless agreed beforehand.

9. Photos

We may ask to photograph your piercing for our portfolio and social media. We only post photos with your permission, and you can ask us to take a photo down at any time.

10. Liability

Body piercing carries some risk, which we explain before we start. Our liability for any claim related to a service or product is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law doesn't allow this limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

11. Your personal data

We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time of your booking applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
